The ultimate in privacy on your own peninsula, the Duck Blind is a renovated Mid-Century Modern lake house with all of the amenities for your family's vacation. Regardless of the season, you will find immediate access to the outdoors. In the summer, use one of the kayaks, canoe or paddle boards to explore the rocky shore of Malletts Bay on Lake Champlain. In the winter, snowshoe across the frozen lake or visit one of several ski hills in close proximity. In the fall, take a hike in the woods to witness the changing seasons and the kaleidoscope of colors. The Duck Blind is a place to relax, unwind and reconnect.
From the driveway, you enter the upper level and will find, in addition to the two bedrooms (each with their own queen bed), there are also two bathrooms on this level (one full and one half bath). In addition, there is a fully-stocked chefs kitchen that opens up to a screened-in porch through three retractible glass doors. With the doors retracted, the screened-in porch offers views of the boat dock and Malletts Bay, making it a go-to extension of the indoor living space. There's, a custom vermonter-made dining table that seats 10 comfortably, and a living area that opens onto the enormous deck with endless views of Malletts Bay. The lower level is a walk-out basement including a bunk room ( that sleeps six in three bunks) and a full bathroom with a shower. The lower level is the primary recreation area complete with a pool table, as well as couches for watching DVDs on the 65" flatscreen TV, or for playing board games on the large ottoman.
